A new website allows agents to book taxi transfers for seat-only customers. Holidaytaxis.com offers pre-bookable private taxi transfers to major resorts in the Mediterranean and plans a similar service in long-haul destinations such as Florida. Managing director Paul Stanyer said - We recognise that the profit margin for agents from booking taxis is going to be relatively low, but this service is an essential element in creating a new style package and can be completed within minutes. The company also believes its services will be sued to enhance traditional packages now that operators charge £15 for resort transfers. Now operators have started charging £60 to transfer families of four, we are seeing open rebellion - said Mr Stanyer. Holidaytaxis charges £17 per car for a one-way transfer from Malaga to Torremolinos and £27 for a return. Agents can register for access to a special trade section at www.holidaytaxis.com.
